Sr. Lead Operations Assembly/Repair Technician Lottery and Slot Machines

General Description:

Diamond Game is currently hiring a Senior Lead Operations Assembler Technician /Lottery & Slot Machines in Chatsworth, CA. This is a Full-Time opportunity with a great company!

Key aspects of the assignment: Builds, tests, assembles, refurbishes and repairs Lottery equipment, slot machines and electronic/mechanical components. Operates a variety of power tools and hand tools and electronic test instruments, fits and assembles parts to fabricate or repair machines and ticket dispensing mechanisms, apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, inventory management, advanced computer, electrical, electronic and assembly skills.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Assist in managing daily operations activities within the assembly group, leading and directing work towards accomplishing set goals.
  • Disassemble, refurbish, repair, assemble and test slot/game machines and equipment ready for field deployment.
  • Organize and coordinate component repair cycles within the operations group.
  • Work on a manufacturing assembly floor, performing time sensitive mechanical and electrical assemblies as well as quality assurance and power up test operations.
  • Repair and/or rework assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
  • Apply basic/comprehensive mechanic/electrical/electronic skills in the assembly of standard mechanical, electrical and computer equipment/product/systems. This includes reading or interpretation of Work Instructions, Bill of Materials, DWGs/Blueprints, Wiring block diagrams, digital multimeter, oscilloscope.
  • Exceptional understanding of Engineering Change Order processes
  • Ability to develop wiring schematics/drawings to adapt new product configurations and requirements.
  • Perform computerized functional testing with measuring equipment, record test result documents or files as directed.
  • Exercise a sound level of trouble-shooting skills to mechanical and electrical Work Orders.
  • Complete neat, precise work, be well organized and have safe working practices while maintaining a "can do" attitude with a sense of pride and ownership in one's work.
  • Work to standard processes and procedures to ensure conformance to quality compliance standards
  • Perform final QA check of all products going off the line and out to our customers
  • MUST be willing to travel to customer sites up to 50% of work time and perform repairs, assist with installations and develop detailed trip reports.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Technical School (Electronics/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) Certification, or demonstrated equivalent with 5+ years' experience and 5+ years' experience in a hands-on technical support position.
  • Demonstrated proficiency of the skills outlined in Key Responsibilities
  • Continuous Improvement experience a plus
  • Able to think critically and logically to meet requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient skills in routing wires, assembles and installation of low voltage electrical and electronic components such as circuit boards, communication/signal and power cables, according to specifications, using hand tools, and other equipment.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Able to start and finish a project with little supervision
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude
  • Have experience in a gaming, or computer building environment
  • General computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office.
  • Have experience working in an engineering environment

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.

The associate frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance. The associate must be able to move, and control 300 pounds with the aid of dollies and tools; able to lift and move 40 pounds short distances without mechanical aid and frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
