Summary

The Service Technician position is a technical, customer centric position focused on performing installations, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electronic break open ticket kiosks and associated equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic checks, maintenance and repairs to all Diamond Game equipment
  • Basic repair and maintenance to servers and associated equipment within defined service level agreement timelines.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance on machines (clean, tighten loose hardware and secure loose wiring)
  • Plan and schedule appointments to perform preventive maintenance at the convenience of the customer (Both Internal and External)
  • Perform all task necessary to complete the installation of equipment and software during upgrades and installs
  • Record Maintenance and repair actions in approved reporting software
  • Jurisdictional changes being an ongoing process, make yourself aware of necessary upgrades and modifications and reporting to all appropriate Diamond Game departments
  • Report on work orders and other assigned tasks daily
  • Associate will be required to apply for and obtain gaming license for Ontario
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education, Training and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ year technical/electrical experience
  • Qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license
  • Technical certifications are highly desirable such as A+, N+, Microsoft or Cisco.
  • Previous experience in the Casino/Bingo service environment a definite asset.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.

The associate frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance. The associate must be able to move, and control 300 pounds with the aid of dollies and tools; able to lift and move 40 pounds short distances without mechanical aid and frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing standard duties associated with the position, the associate will be exposed to noise levels ranging from quiet to loud. The associate will also occasionally be exposed to adverse weather conditions. Working conditions also occasionally consist of moving and working around the customers of the properties.

Licenses

Must be Eighteen (18) years of age. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming licenses in various jurisdictions.
